Hey everyone! As some of you know, I have been working on two WIPs this year (three if you count minor revisions): Legends of Annun: The Messenger of Darnath – Origins of Jaykiren Blackshield and Legends of Annun: War of Souls – Book 2 of the Sylex Meadowbrooke Chronicles. I have also been querying Legends of Annun: The Godstones – Book 1 of the Sylex Meadowbrooke Chronicles.

So far, I haven’t had any requests for The Godstones, but I am constantly working to improve my query as well as the MS. I’ve learned so much already this year and I can only hope that it pays off. Worst case, I shelf this project for another time.

The Messenger of Darnath is currently still out with beta readers and I hope to do one or two more rounds before I am willing to say it is “done” (hopefully by the end of this year). I haven’t decided yet if I will be querying this separately from the Sylex Meadowbrooke Chronicles, but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.

War of Souls is currently sitting at ~65k words. My goal is around 110k and depending on how things go with The Messenger of Darnath revisions and my new project starting at the end of this week, I hope to have that finished by the end of this year as well.

“NEW PROJECT?!” you ask? Well, you’ll just have to wait for the official announcement…
