I am proud to announce that I hit my goal of 35k today! I really didn’t think I was going to make it, but after a few weeks of buckling down to squeeze out as many words as possible, I did it!

Here is a rundown of my daily word counts for Nov 24-30 :

Nov 24th – 1774

Nov 25th – 2437

Nov 26th (Thanksgiving) – 711

Nov 27th – 2004

Nov 28th – 3090

Nov 29 – 2510

Nov 30 – 1977

This brings my total words added this month to 35,346 and my War of Souls WIP total word count to 110,490.

Writing almost 2k a day wasn’t easy for me, but it was very satisfying to know that it was possible. Some days I woke up early to write, and others I stayed up late. All in all, I think I may have overstressed myself, but I think that is mostly because of my slacking earlier in the month. If I had been pushing harder sooner, I wouldn’t have needed 2k a day to reach my goal.

I still haven’t finished my first draft, so I think I will continue to closely monitor my word counts mainly out of curiosity. I will definitely let you all know when it is finished and share those numbers if I can.
