Yesterday, I wrapped up my first draft of my Dragon WIP at just over 90k words. That’s right, I’ve finally finished it! After a quick run through spellcheck and Grammarly, I am letting this draft sit for a little while before I begin the second draft.

I’m not sure how long I will let it simmer on the backburners–it could be a week or a month. However, I have a feeling I will be wanting to dive back in sooner than later because I already know a few areas that I want to improve or expand upon. I’m nearly 90% certain I will be adding a new chapter between chapter 1 and chapter 2 to fill in a gap there. In addition, I will be going back to add in more setting details that I knowingly left out for the sake of progress (because I am well aware setting description is one of my weaknesses).

Overall, I am very proud of how this draft turned out, and I hope to be looking for betas by the end of the year.
