Hey everyone! Sorry I’m a little late on this post, but I got caught up in this new short story that randomly came to me! I even forgot to post about starting it (which was on December 28th (I think)). I’m calling the idea “Princess in a Tower Retelling”, and without giving too much away, all I can say is I flipped a few tropes found in these fairytales on their heads, haha.

The idea came to me as I was settling down for bed, so I jotted it down and went to sleep. When I woke up, I was still thinking about it, so I knew I had something that would not sit in my notes until I got back to it some day (like my hundreds of other notes). Sure enough, I wrote a vague outline and 600 words that morning. I’m fairly certain I will finish today and will probably even have time to edit as well. I don’t have any anthologies or magazines lined up to submit it to, but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.

In other news, my Dragon WIP has been given the title One With Dragons and I have gotten feedback from 1 of my 3 betas so far. (Technically, 2 betas have given feedback, but 1 is not finished yet). Hopefully, my betas will finish by the end of January, but I’m not in a huge rush since I am planning to send out some more queries for Legends of Annun: The Godstones this year before moving on to query any new projects. That doesn’t mean I will give up on Godstones forever, just that I may set it aside for a while.
