Hi everyone! I know I missed last month, but I promise, you didn’t miss much. I spent all of January simply doing some revisions on One With Dragons and then sent it back out for another round of beta reading.

About halfway through February, I decided to revisit my Godstones wip and gave it another overhaul as well. There are still a few things I may change before sending out another round of queries, including adding a new chapter and cutting the chapters I have into smaller ones. However, I decided that before I did that, I wanted to finally write my second draft of the second book of that series, War of Souls.

As of yesterday, I broke 45k words, but my first draft is 123k words, so I still have a ways to go, haha. I am hoping to trim it down some, but I’m more worried about bigger plot and character improvements at the moment, so the major trimming probably won’t come until the third draft.

Going back to One With Dragons, I’m thinking that I may attempt to write a query letter and synopsis after I finish the second draft of War of Souls. I haven’t decided if I will stop querying Godstones when One With Dragons is ready or query both simultaneously. I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
