Monthly Update

Hello, everybody! I made good progress last month in my supernatural romance story. I previously referred to it as paranormal romance, but i realized that it is supernatural because it involves demons. Although I’m beginning to wonder if the true genre is actually romantic supernatural fantasy since the romance is sorta taking a back seat to the action plot. I’ve never written anything like this before, so I’m still learning. It’s been an awesome experience to try something new, but also a lot of work, haha.

Yesterday, I reached 17,840 words and I’m thinking this will end up being a novella instead of a novel because I just hit the midpoint of the outline I have. Then again, I’ve been known to completely rework an outline midway through a story and rewrite it so anything is possible!

I haven’t posted a pitch or even a small blurb for this story because it’s already changed a lot from my original idea, but I wanted to share this pitch I came up with in response to a Twitter prompt:

It’s not the best pitch, but it captures the overall idea fairly well.

I hope to finish the first draft of this story by the end of the year, but we will see. Wish me luck and…
