Hello everybody! I’m excited to say that I’ve finally finished the first draft of my unnamed paranormal romance! However… it is far from done. As you may know, I’ve struggled with this story and recently I finally realized why: I chose the wrong main character. When I started, I thought I was writing a romance, but as I wrote more and more, one of the secondary characters kept calling to me to tell more of her story. I should’ve listened.

But not all is lost! In fact, all that really needs to happen now is for me to add more chapters and tweak the ones I have to fit better within its new urban fantasy genre. There will still be a strong romantic element, but it will no longer be the focus. I can’t wait to get started on draft 2, but I’m taking a little reading break to let my ideas marinate. I’m planning to dive back in after another week or so.

As for my other works, I’ve decided to start submitting my short stories Damsel in Distress and Truth of Winter to magazines and anthologies. DUAT is still in editing, and I’ve heard no updates, but I will let you know what’s going on as soon as I can.
